It has 6 speeds and 10 soothing songs, plus a 3-position recline to comfortably accommodate even the youngest baby. As the swing moves, three plush toys on the overhead mobile sway back and forth. The mobile easily swings away for naptime or for easier access to your little one. Also, the plug features a quick release feature so it won't trip up older siblings and pets. For times when there is no outlet nearby, you have the option of batteries -- the Power Plus Swing runs on 4 "D" cell batteries. Ask any new parent about the pros and cons of their electronic baby gear and, undoubtedly, the biggest complaint is the way most seem to run through batteries in no time. The Power Plus swing from Fisher-Price finally addresses the issue with the simplest improvement and it’s a real no-brainer—yep, it’s the addition of a plug! Now baby can cruise along at any of the six swinging speeds and listen to the 10 nursery songs cycle again and again without worry that the batteries will konk out midway through. The swing’s power cord has a safety release feature to avoid tripping up other family members. And, of course, if there is no outlet available, parents can certainly choose to run this swing on four "D" batteries instead. As with other Fisher-Price swings, this one holds baby safely in a seat with a three-point restraint and three reclining positions let baby either glide off to sleep or sit up and enjoy the ride. The seat also features a snack tray and a washable seat pad for easy cleaning. A mobile dangles three plush toys overhead and swings to the side for access to baby.
